Glassbreak Sensors

Glassbreak sensors are very easily available these days and are very affective in preventing and capturing burglars. These Sensors can be fitted with the window or door glass and they blow, when the glass breaks. Most of the thieves and burglars enter the house, when nobody is at home. They usually break into the house through the windows or by unlocking the door after they break the glass and get their hands to the inside of the door.

There are two types of glassbreak sensors, being used these days. One is the acoustic glass break sensor and the other is dual technology glassbreak sensor, which uses microwave infrared technology to detect glass breaks.

The acoustic glassbreak sensors use the sound of the breaking of the glass or any other sound, near the sensor. The sensors are placed inside the window and the door, and use an omni-directional microphone to sense the sudden breaking and shattering of the glass. Then they trigger and blow an alarm, which alerts the guard or the house members.
The acoustic glassbreak sensors often trigger many false alarms, as the alarm could be triggered by the sound of a ball hitting the glass or a child hitting the window by the hand.

The latest dual technology glassbreak sensors have reduced the false alarms very much. They sense the presence of the glass. When the glass breaks and remains no longer there, then an alarm is blown. The infrared sensors have reduced the false alarm tremendously. The false alarms have not yet been finished all together, but the quantity of false alarms has been reduced remarkably. The use of the dual detection system has reduced the chances of deceiving the alarm. The burglar is able to deceive one sensor, but not the both at the same time. The dual system has increased the effectiveness of glassbreak sensors, very much.

There are many companies manufacturing glassbreak sensors, and the most prominent of them all is Caddx. Caddx glassbreak sensor is a battery operated sensor and is very easy to install. The batteries are not supplied with the sensor but are easily available in the market. If you are interested in knowing on how to beat a glassbreak sensor, then you may not get any answer. The new dual technology glassbreak sensors are very hard to beat and are very efficient and effective. Glassbreak sensors are very effective to prevent burglars from breaking into your house.
